Sarah Q Wilson | Biography

Sarah Quyen Wilson was born in Atlanta, GA. She is the oldest of 2 children to Le and Lenox Wilson. Her younger sister is Grace Wilson. Sarah attends Denmark High School (Class of 2020) full time while training 21 hours per week at Infinity Gymnastics Center (formerly known as NorthWind Gymnastics Center).

Sarah began her gymnastics career at a relatively late age of 8, where she attended a recreational gymnastics class during the summer. Before the end of that summer, she was asked to join the AAU Level 4 team. She had a very successful AAU Level 4 season winning AA at almost every meet she competed in. She moved up the ranks scoring out of AAU Level 5 and moving into USA Level 6 within the year. She competed USA Level 6 (JO Compulsory) season during the Fall and then immediately went into USA Level 7 (JO Optionals) in the Winter. The following year she competed in USA Level 8 where she was 1st All Around at Georgia State Championship, 1st Vault, 1st Uneven Bars, 4th Beam, and 5th Floor. She also was a member of the Georgia State Team at the Region 8 Championship.

The year after that, she moved up to USA Level 9 where she was a Region 8 qualifier. The following season she was able to move to USA Level 10 where she was 4th All Around at the Georgia State Championship. She was a Region 8 qualifier and also a Junior Olympic NIT qualifier, in her first year Level 10. In her second year Level 10 (2016), at the Region 8 Championship, she placed first on uneven bars. She qualified to the Junior Olympic Nationals in Fort Worth, TX.

Sarah had a good 2017 season. She placed first on floor exercise at the State Championships. At the Region 8 Championships, she finished 9th in the All Around. She was the second alternate at the Junior Olympic Nationals. In her 2018 season, Sarah coming off injury was able to place 11th in the All Around and 5th on Bars at the Region 8 Championships. This past season in 2019 Sarah had a solid season, from winning All Around in Ozone Invitational to placing 2nd in Bars at Region 8 Championships.

Sarah is currently preparing for 2020 as a 6th year USA Level 10 gymnast. She trains at Infinity Gymnastics Center under coaches Elena Piskun and Inesa Shauroskaya.

Sarah has committed to joining the Yale Gymnastics Team (YGT) in the fall of 2020!
