Academics is a top priority for Sarah. She currently has a weighted 4.15 GPA (unweighted 4.0 GPA).
As a sophomore, Sarah had a full rigorous schedule taking Accelerated Pre-Calculus, AP Biology, Honors Chemistry, World History, 10th grade Literature, Spanish III, and an additional elective. She attended South Forsyth High School in Cumming, GA. The school was #416 in National Rankings and #13 in Georgia High Schools in 2017. She was a part of South Forsyth's varsity gymnastics team her freshman and sophomore year, named MVP for both years.
Sarah was redistricted to another high school her junior year. She now attends Denmark High School. Her course load included AP Calculus AB and AP Chemistry among others. She is a member of the National Honor Society. She is also a member of Denmark's varsity gymnastics team. In Denmark's inaugural year, Sarah was instrumental in helping the team earn the GHSA State Championship Runner-Up title. She brought home the top prize of the night winning All Around (38.8), being Denmark's first ever State Champion. Sarah won vault (9.8), uneven bars (10.0, her 2nd of the season), floor (9.7) and placed 4th on beam (9.3). She was Denmark's 2018-2019 Female Athlete of the Year and AJC's (Atlanta Journal Constitution) 2018 Gymnastics Player of the Year. She not only finished the school year strong athletically, she also finished strong academically earning A's in all her classes, including her AP Calculus AB and AP Chemistry course.
In Sarah's senior year of high school, she is continuing to challenge herself by taking AP Calculus BC and AP Physics, among others. She was honored with the 2019-2020 WSB-TV Athlete of the Week award.
